This village is located half kilometer from Bochasan railway station. It is believed that Devidas from Karkhadi first settled in this village.
Main economical activity is agriculture. Many families from village have developed their business in India and foreign countries. Zaver Bhulabhai Patel from Rudel was first to find Timaru leaves- suitable for preparing Beedis, at Palamu district in Bihar. Village has four tobacco processing units and two beedi related factory.
Village has Narsinhji Temple ,Rudreshwar Shivalaya and Swaminarayan Temple.
